BTA / Metrofuser Sign Agreement for ServicePlus Printer Repair Training

The Business Technology Association (BTA; www.bta.org) and Metrofuser (www.metrofuser.com), have signed a marketing agreement to offer the BTA members access to the industry's most comprehensive laser printer service training. Developed by Metrofuser,a provider of service parts and remanufactured printers to office equipment dealers, ServicePlus Training is designed to educate dealers on how to effectively troubleshoot and repair HP Laser Printing Technology.
Under the agreement, BTA members will be able to attend Metrofuser's ServicePlus Printer Repair Training classes at a reduced price. The Business Technology Association (BTA; www.bta.org) and Metrofuser (www.metrofuser.com), have signed a marketing agreement to offer the BTA members access to the industry's most comprehensive laser printer service training. Developed by Metrofuser,a provider of service parts and remanufactured printers to office equipment dealers, ServicePlus Training is designed to educate dealers on how to effectively troubleshoot and repair HP Laser Printing Technology.
Under the agreement, BTA members will be able to attend Metrofuser's ServicePlus Printer Repair Training classes at a reduced price. The agreement extends to all scheduled, custom and onsite training classes. The next scheduled class dates are June 21-25 in Roselle NJ and July 12 -16 in Santa Ana, CA.

Laser printer parts manufacturer Metrofuser (www.metrofuser.com) was awarded a 2010 Managed Print Services Leadership Award last week by the Managed Print Services Association (MPSA). Metrofuser received second place honors as a top Infrastructure Logistical Provider and was presented the award during the 2010 North American MPS Conference in San Antonio, TX.
The MPSA used a balanced scorecard methodology based on core abilities, best practices and business benefits, giving the nod to Metrofuser in a highly competitive process.
"We are honored that the MPSA recognized our StockWorksMPS solution and other MPS support programs with this award," said Dennis Fotopoulos, Director of Strategic Business Development for Metrofuser.. He added, "We've worked hard to develop software-independent solutions that empowers our customers to be competitive across the growing MPS landscape no matter which MPS software or strategy they deploy."
According to Jim Fitzpatrick, President of the MPSA, "Metrofuser resolved one of the biggest problems that faces MPS Service dealers, which is how to stock and maintain parts for all of these units and still maintain a pofit margin with uncertain usage?"
The challenge is to have enough service parts available immediately to ensure quick service and break-fix response, but the inventory cost can be prohibitive.
Fitzpatrick added that, "Metrofuser applied some really out-of-the-box thinking, and developed a parts consignment
"pay as you go" model, outside of their other MPS offerings. The MPSA believes that with these solutions, Metrofuser shows true leadership in our industry. "
The MPSA said the high level of participation and competitiveness between companies showed the strength of the industry. The awards saw 53 companies from 12 countries competing in five categories.

NEW YORK – February 1, 2010 – Metrofuser and Metrofuser employees have pledged more than $3,000 in donations to support earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti.
Of the $3,000, more than $1,300 has been raised through the Metrofuser employee disaster-relief matching-gift program. Under the program, the Metrofuser is matching employee donations $2 dollar for each dollar, up to $250 per employee, to the nonprofit organization, Red Cross, that is providing aid in Haiti.
"Metrofuser employees have a tradition of mobilizing quickly to assist communities in need," said Metrofuser spokes person. "We are proud that so many Metrofuser employees have come forward to assist the people of Haiti in this time of great need."
